London, United Kingdom – Trade Finance Global (TFG) is thrilled to announce our Women in Trade, Treasury & Payments 2024 campaign, taking place on 7 March 2024, at the Lansdowne Club in London.

This exclusive event celebrates International Women’s Day on 8 March 2024. For the second year in a row, TFG is excited to host a special in-person event championing the empowerment of women in trade, treasury, and payments.

This campaign aims to address the gender disparity in these critical sectors and foster an environment where women’s contributions are celebrated and their professional growth is supported.

Last year, TFG honoured 100 women in trade, treasury, and payments with an online campaign, centred around the slogan #EmbraceEquity.

This was complemented by an intimate networking event that brought together 13 heads of industry for an afternoon of engaging roundtables. The day culminated with an invitation-only drinks and dinner for 30 female leaders in the industry.

Some of last year’s guests included:

  • DDG Angela Ellard, World Trade Organization (WTO)
  • Chair Reta Jo Lewis, US EXIM
  • Mencia Bobo, Santander
  • Natalia Clements, Swiss Re Corporate Solutions
  • Catherine Lang-Anderson, Allen & Overy
  • Gwen Mwaba, Afreximbank
  • Helen Jones, Visa
  • Kimberley Botwright, World Economic Forum (WEF)
  • Lorna Pillow, London Forfaiting Company/International Trade and Forfaiting Association (LFC/ITFA)
  • Lynette Thorstensen, Fairtrade International
  • Nathalie Louat, International Finance Corporation (IFC)
  • Neha Noronha, Asian Development Bank (ADB)
  • Raelene Martin, International Chamber of Commerce (ICC)

In 2024, TFG is looking forward to continue to honour women across the trade, treasury and payments industry, and will #InspireInclusion with an invitation-only event on 7 March at the Lansdowne Club.

Deepesh Patel, Editorial Director, TFG said, “Following the success of last year’s campaign, we are extremely excited to continue to highlight the amazing work of so many women in the trade, treasury and payments space.

In 2023, we set a high bar with our campaign celebrating women in trade, treasury, and payments. For 2024, we are elevating this experience to new heights. Our goal is not just to match last year’s success but to surpass it significantly, creating an even more impactful and memorable event.”

Natasha Roston, Head of People and Growth, TFG said, “The event last year was really inspiring. Female leaders from around the globe courageously and openly shared their reflections and insights, offering a judgement-free zone to truly listen and support one another. It was a powerful experience, and I feel privileged to have been a part of it. We can’t wait to host another event in March and look forward to growing our community with new faces and perspectives for engaging conversations.”
