Matthew commenced his banking career working for CDC-IXIS in Frankfurt in 2001, before returning to the UK in 2003 to work for WestLB, in London, where he was based for 8.5 years, the last four years of which were in the Loan Syndications team with specific responsibility for Credit Risk Insurance placement. In December 2011 he joined the Loan Capital Markets department at Sumitomo Banking Corporation Europe Limited, with responsibility for insurance placement for all business lines and product classes within EMEA region, as well as providing direct support for the Americas and APAC regional hubs as part of the global ‘build-out’ of credit risk insurance as a distribution tool. Matthew also sits on the ITFA Insurance Committee.
