E-commerce will continue to gain market share over offline commerce by offering a desired customer experience. Shipping and logistics is the anchor of fast and free offers from brands and retailers and the customer experience is growing more demanding by the year with expanding expectations for last-mile. This will require greater automation in the warehouses, tied to seamless buying experiences and faster transportation networks, all driving for to reduce costs.
