Luca Jarrell started to write for TFG in 2017 within the student writer program. As a former graduate of the MSc in Energy, Trade and Finance in London, he is now based in Geneva, Switzerland. He wrote about renewable energy sources and project finance during his bachelors and extended his knowledge of the electricity industry with a master thesis titled “The impact of energy storage on balancing costs in the United Kingdom”. His main interests are in the traditional topics of commodity trading, energy, finance and global trade. Nonetheless, he is also inquisitive about more current topics such as blockchain or smart contracts. Concerned about climate change, one emphasis lies in new technologies such as non-fossil fuels and renewable energy solutions.

An experienced and curious individual with a demonstrated history of working as a Customer service Agent, Customer service Manager, and Operation Manager in the eCommerce world with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree focused on Computer Science.

Dominik Langdale is a contributor at TFG.

Mara is an Associate within the Clean Economy programme of the EPG. With a background in economics and political science (BSc University of Warwick), applied economic analysis, and data analysis (MSc Stockholm School of Economics), she is currently researching the green transition with a focus on industrial policy. Mara has been a PhD Fellow at the Center for Statecraft and Strategic Communication, Stockholm School of Economics, since 2022. During her master’s degree, she was the recipient of the UniCredit Foundation Masterscholarship for top students. Previously, Mara was a market operations analyst at the European Central Bank and a research executive in public affairs in Brussels, focusing on energy and transport. She has also briefly worked in public administration at the Ministry of Economy in Romania and at the Permanent Representation of Romania to the European Union.

Shawn Chow, based in Singapore, is a Private Equity professional at Aquilius Investment Partners, bringing experience from previous roles at Evercore, HSBC, and Partners Group. He is part of Aquilius’s investment team and has over four years of industry experience, including investment banking roles at Evercore in Singapore and HSBC in London. Shawn holds an MBA from Yale University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Warwick, UK. With expertise in leadership, management, private equity, venture capital, and public speaking, he offers valuable insights to the industry.

Lori is a final year BSc Economics student, with a particular interest in economic development research and econometrics.

Shiminyi Cyprain graduated at Institut Universitaire du Golfe de Guinée in Cameroon with a degree in logistics and transport management.

James Dinsdale is the Private Secretary to the Secretary of State at the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities. He studied MSc in International Public Policy at UCL. His main research interests are individual citizens’ trade policy preferences, and the global multi-lateral trading system in the context of IR theories. Previously, he interned for the CBI’s International Trade Policy team and worked for Accenture’s public sector management consulting business.

Simeon holds a degree in Accounting and an MBA from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He is presently a PhD student at Queen Mary University of London. He is equally a Chartered Accountant, being a member of ACCA. He has previously worked for Zenith Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), Barclays and HSBC.

Jäcob Girgis a university student and a young supply chain professional working for a consultancy company in Sydney, Australia. He is currently majoring in Supply Chain and Statistics and has been working as intern for over a year and a half.

Georgios Koutsouradis is an Economist whose main interest is in banking and financial sector. He has spent many years in different countries for studies and research on economic matters for the University of Patras. He has spent his adolescence in Patras and currently lives in London. He is also an experienced boxer, a table tennis champion and a piano player. Georgios has a passion for history. He likes to visit places to get a glimpse of the history behind them. Being a wine lover he is a member of City University of London wine tasters society and enjoys to give tasting advices to his colleagues.

Yulduz Mazhitova is a scholar of De Montfort University studying Business management and Finance Bachelor’s degree. She has completed the Bloomberg Market Concept and visited Bloomberg and U.N. Headquarters in New York, US.

Thembinkosi Ntshalintshali is an experienced administrator with a strong background in logistics and supply chain. Skilled in negotiation, public speaking, customer service, and proficient in Microsoft Office, he has demonstrated success in supporting operations within these industries. Currently pursuing studies at the University of South Africa, Thembinkosi is committed to enhancing his professional expertise and contributing effectively to his field.

Roxana Pillay is a forwarding coordinator who has been in the shipping industry for over 12 years, beginning her career working for an importer and manufacturer of cereals and moving to exports of South African products to international counterparts. she enjoys this fast-paced industry and hoping to share her knowledge by writing. Recently winning runner-up in the Trade and Finance global Accelerate scholarship, she extends her knowledge by studying sales at marketing currently at the University of South Africa. Enjoying family time, cooking, gym and reading allows her to balance work and play.
