When you first start a business, you don’t always know how it’s going to go. It can be something that you start very much on a whim, or something that you’ve spent years working towards. Either way, you may find that when everything is all set up and launched, you’re not all that sure where you go next. Most of the time, we all plan a lot for the launch. For getting the business off of the ground. But with a startup, the first two years really count. And you’re going to want to be sure that you can make it, not break it. So what’s halting your growth? And what can you do to change it? Let’s take a look.

Money

One of the main reasons for why people struggle to grow in business is because of money. Maybe you need financing in order to proceed to the next level? When this is the case, you’ll want to think about how you can get more financing to get to where you want to be. Do you need a business plan? Do you need contacts? Either way, you need to be proactive to make this happen, and go after the investment you really need.

Ideas

Perhaps you’re stuck because you’re all out of ideas?  When that’s the case, you need to actively look to remedy that and fast. New ideas are not just going to come to you. So, you need to be thinking about how you can boost your creativity and welcome marketing campaigns or product development into your future. Never just wait for an idea to strike – go after it.

Trust

From here, maybe you’re not trusted just yet? And that doesn’t have to be down to anything that you’ve done – but because you’re new. Maybe people don’t know who you are yet or what your business does? Maybe you are seen to be as small by others? Then, you may need to look at getting a business address for VSB and some professional branding in place. Because when you can project more professionalism, you may gain more trust.

Direction

Sometimes, the struggle is with direction. Do you know where you’re going? What you want to do? How you will find success? Do you know what kind of actions you need to be taking today in order to reach your goals? If not, you need to pinpoint your goals and work backward from them. That way, you’ll find the direction you need to be heading in today.

Self-Belief

Finally, sometimes you just need to be able to believe in yourself. You may not realize it, but a lack of confidence in yourself or not believing in yourself can really hold you back. Negative self-talk has the same effect. But when you change that, when you believe in yourself, you change the game. Suddenly, you can take action and make changes and drive the business forward. It can make a world of difference.
